Amid the joy and exhaustion of her quinceañera, fifteen-year-old Cecilia begins to wonder whether her future lies in Yegolé or beyond its borders.
In Yegolé, a village in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico, Cecilia celebrates her quinceañera, a traditional Mexican celebration for a girl's 15th birthday, surrounded by her family and community. Amid the beauty and weariness of the celebration and everyday life, Cecilia feels a growing tension within her between staying in or leaving Yegolé as she approaches adulthood.
