Serge Desrosiers, CSC, stands as a reference in the Quebec film industry for more than 20 years.
Serge Desrosiers quickly became known in the film and television world for image quality, sense of innovation and versatility. A well-known cinematographer, nominated in 2019 for the CSC Awards for Queen of Sin, a previous finalist at the ASC Awards in the United States and at the IRIS Canadian Film Awards, as well as recipient of Gemini Awards and the Canadian Society of Cinematographers Awards.
Known as the cinematographer behind various feature films such as Station Nord in 2002, the first feature film shot in HD in Canada, the feature-film spinoff of the cult series, Dans une galaxie près de chez vous, the well-received comedy, Camping Sauvage (2004) and Ville-Marie with Monica Bellucci (2015), Desrosiers now uses the skills developed as a producer. As DOP, Desrosiers shot the first Canadian TV series filmed in digital, DIVA (1998 to 2000), the highly successful series Lance et Compte in HD (2001 and 2006), as well as Kim Nguyen’s short film Le Gant (2004) that marked the beginning of 4K.
